Alaska Scenes - AlaskaJack
2015 January 30: Nearly noon, and the sun casts deep shadows on the northwest slopes of Mt Drum. The Wrangell mountains (Mt Sanford on far left, Mt Drum center, and the north end of Wrangell Mt on the right) play peek-a-boo through layers of thin clouds not very high above the surface. This treatment is closest to what the naked eye saw. The next two photos show different ways of viewing it. The photo was taken from a rise about ten miles west of Glennallen, aptly referred to as "Ten Mile Hill".
